Gender Change Feature

The Arkadia community is constantly striving to enhance your ARK: Survival Evolved experience. We’re excited to announce a new feature designed to add a unique layer of customization to your dinosaurs: the Gender Change feature! This allows players to change the gender of their tamed dinosaurs, opening up new breeding possibilities and allowing for even more personalized gameplay.

How Does the Gender Change Feature Work?

This feature allows you to toggle the gender of your dinosaurs, switching between male and female. This can be particularly useful for strategic breeding, allowing you to optimize for desired traits and stats. Here’s a detailed breakdown of how to utilize this exciting addition:

Token System

Changing a dinosaur’s gender requires a token. This system is in place to ensure a balanced gameplay experience and prevents unrestricted gender swapping. Tokens can be obtained through various in-game activities (details on token acquisition will be published separately – stay tuned to our Discord and forums for more information!).

Commands

Two simple commands are all you need to utilize the Gender Change feature:

• /tokensgender – This command displays your current token balance. Before attempting to change your dinosaur’s gender, use this command to verify you have at least one token available.
• /cg – This is the primary command for changing your dinosaur’s gender. Simply type /cg in the in-game chat while the dinosaur you wish to modify is selected (or targeted, depending on server settings). The command will toggle the gender – if the dinosaur is male, it will become female, and vice versa.

Important Considerations

• Single Token Cost: Each gender change requires one token.
• Toggle Functionality: The /cg command functions as a toggle. Repeatedly using the command will cycle between male and female.
• Selection/Targeting: Ensure the dinosaur you wish to modify is properly selected or targeted before issuing the /cg command. Server settings may influence how targeting works.
• Breeding Implications: Changing a dinosaur’s gender will affect its breeding capabilities. Keep this in mind when planning your breeding strategies.

The Arkadia team is committed to providing a dynamic and engaging ARK experience. The Gender Change feature was requested by our community members and aligns with our goal of offering greater customization options. We believe this feature will add a new level of strategic depth to breeding and allow players to express their creativity in unique ways.
