Here at Arkadia, we’re always looking for ways to enhance the Ark: Survival Evolved experience for our community members. Dying in Ark is, let’s face it, a frequent occurrence. Losing all your hard-earned gear with each death can be incredibly frustrating. That’s why we’re excited to highlight the get body feature, a valuable tool designed to streamline the process of retrieving your survivors and their belongings after a fall in battle or a simple misstep.

What is the get body feature?

The get body feature is a server-side modification that adds a set of in-game commands allowing players to locate and recover their bodies (and the items contained within) after death. It’s a significant time-saver and reduces the annoyance of endlessly searching for your fallen survivor, especially in challenging terrain. This feature is particularly useful for solo players and smaller tribes who may not have the resources to dedicate to constant body guarding.

How Does it Work? – A Detailed Command Guide

The feature operates through a simple and intuitive command system. Here’s a breakdown of each command:

• /bodies – This command displays a list of all your fallen bodies and inventory caches. Each body/cache is assigned a unique number for easy identification. The list provides a quick overview of your available recovery options.
• /body – Use this command to view the exact coordinates and distance to the specified body/cache. For example, typing /body 1 will show you the location of the body/cache listed as number 1 in the /bodies list. This command costs 25 points. The point cost is a configurable setting for server administrators.
• /getBody – This command retrieves the items stored within the selected body/cache. For example, /getBody 2 will teleport the contents of body/cache number 2 back to your inventory. This command costs 200 points. Important: A 30-minute timer applies after engaging in PvP combat. This prevents players from immediately retrieving items lost during a fight and encourages fair play.
